Don't we all know better than to feed the f*cking troll? On a side note, here in Bellingham, vCast is as fast as cable and dropped packets dont kill the battery so much. Good job Verizon Roswell

Usually a "don't feed the troll" message is posted with some association or clue as to who the troll is, so we can get the big billy goat gruff to cross the bridge and kill the troll. Marc

Before the thread was hosed i was quite tempted to ask why your church is handing out gift baskets with a cell phone and a ten pound bag of fertilizer in each, but i finally decided against it, since it's like bringing the Soapbox into the longe:~ On the second thought i was simply shocked that the guy went for such an easy lure. Roswell

You obviously missed the post thread where Kyle was asking for some help in writing a boot sector virus, and Jason fell for it and almost offered to help. But one of the CP staff removed it to help Jason save face. Throwing a barbecue in his honor is not as bad as throwing a barbecue for him and him alone, taking turns to feed him, like in the thread that was removed. Roswell:|

I didn't obviously anything. You can see from this incident the confusion posts like yours causes. Just let things be. Don't call more attention to something than what it deserved. Things were resolved/removed so why resurrect something that was dead? The thread was removed. Let it be and don't confuse things more by posting about something that's long gone. It's just bringing more attention to a situation that merits zero attention on it's own. And cool it with the unimpressed stuff. There's no drama and we don't need any queens.

I actually posted this thread about ten minutes after the original troll thread was removed. A staff member can confirm this. I found out the thread was gone only after i pressed "Post" after typing up my reply to it. So about a minute and 30 seconds after the removal, i started typing the new post, again from my mobile, with its non-qwerty keypad. But i'm guessing the Internet relativity principle came into play in this case, since there hasn't been many posts today, so you arrived at this thread quite late and the moment you saw the thread was your moment the thread appeared. But the thread was about a very obsurd situation, and quite funny in a sad way. There's no way one could ignore it. It was a gem compared to the ordinary Kyle stuff. And i laughed, and almost cried. Regarding your "drama queen" comment, all i can say is: But we don't have enough smileys here to truly express the gamut of human emotion. The meaning i intended to convey was i wasn't touched by the neurotic energy of your first post. It was a "okay, fine that won't work" smug grin... Roswell

Not stressed at all. And you know what I mean when I say that all the posts about "...trolls..." and "...this place isn't the same..." are kind of funny to me. And humor my irony. The people who say this place isn't the same most likely left and then came back. Well duh! Of course it's not the same you weren't here to see it change so it feels odd.  The people who say, "Don't feed the trolls." know they are in fact feeding the trolls but for whatever reason they are annoyed enough about a troll (our resident troll of all things, much akin to our family cat, mischievous as they come but largely harmless) that they post some troll food to shirk off a little of their ire. Those of us who don't think the place has changed and could care less about the trolls (for the moment, that could change rather suddenly) come strolling through expecting sunshine and happy faces see a "troll" post and think, "Shyad up will yah! You're being a nasty troll!" so we kick you in the shins as we stroll pleasantly past because you really do know better and we run off and hide behind the tree to throw apples at you from a safe distance. I haven't changed. I'm not a troll. But I've got apples and you've been kicked in the shin.;P

Some guy was seriously going to help you right a BS virus? Did you get any code off him? That would have gotten Churchill to declare war for certain. They are talking about me. And yes I did realize it was a load of crap. Although, I did not know who it was, I was interested in seeing just what a Church needed an app. to write to the BS for. I had left work shortly after that thread was started and have just got back on CP and found out it was deleted and it was Kyle. Also, the sig he used was an indication that it was a false, flame seeking post.

I am not perfect but I try to be better than those before me. So those who come after me will be better than I am.

"Family Cat" is sometimes a good definition of Kyle. 80% of the time he's only annoying, but in a stale old way, and i'm content to simply vote him a 1. But there are times that he concocts a worthy if only a little more refined but still mean joke. This was one of those times. So yes, you are right, my thread was to some degree to congratulate the troll and shame the "victim" into being a little more vigilant next time, because it was simply too good. I guess my post was taken for face value, but if i added a "rolling on the floor laughing" smiley, it may have been understood a bit better. Roswell

Oh man. Kyle has you dead to rights. You better get your game up he's 2-0 on you.:-D After that one though he might leave off he doesn't tend to overdue it. He knows he'd get mobbed for that. He does just enough to irk/entertain without being out and out beaten with socks and soap. So you might as well let the soap fall back out of the sock. You won't get him this time and probably the next. He's wiley. Sadly and maybe not... I think a lot like he does so I can spot him a mile away. His humor is a bit more warped but it has the same weft (if that even makes sense to say that). Ah well. No worries. I'd have been pleased as punch to see boot sector launch code here in the lounge though. A tip for you. He knows you are religious and that you tend to be real trusting in that area. You'll have to play a tighter game in order to avoid more scrapes. Shrug it off and have a good laugh or get behind the tree and help me chuck apples at RoswellNX. We'll have a good time at that I say!

Well I suppose that nobody got hurt and I'm sure we still have a family cat. So it's just another day in the lounge chucking apples.

No, I don't give him that one. The other day yes but not that one. I knew it was false, didn't care who.

I was working on it. Just didn't think it was Kyle trying to be stupid.
