Arghh.... 10 days without internet

I'm currently on holiday and have just spent 10 days without looking on the internet. This evening (at my wife's prompting) we took out my laptop and sat near the "office".... Sure enough, unsecured Wifi... indeed, as a result we just found the Hotel's unadvertized "Cybercafe" too! Boy, has it been a hard slog. I think it was about 6 years ago since I managed to get to 10 days! --- wouldn't be exceptional, but the TV has no news channels and the information gap has driven me mad!
