I think it is time to ask - is southern hemisphere rugby in crisis?

I still can't believe it. It seems really fishy to me that both Australia & New Zealand, the two strongest teams in world rugby, go out of the tournament on the same day? I reckon I should visit my local bookie soon & place a bet on the next set of underdogs. As a former permanent resident of SA I hope they do well in their campaign but I'm rapidly losing enjoyment in world sports events. I may sound like a conspiracy theorist but I have this nagging feeling that most of these are "fixed" & that, to me, ruins the whole thing.

But fortunately we have the nanny-state politicians who can step in to protect us poor stupid consumers, most of whom would not know a JVM from a frozen chicken. Bruce Pierson

If you don't like it, you just have to switch your TV on another channel, or even better, switch it off. It's that simple.
