March 2001 issue of MSDN Magazine I've just only received the February-edition. Could it be because I live in Europe? I'm really curious what is says, could you post a snippet? Tnx! -- Alex Marbus

Its a full page add for the CodeProject website. A very large, ahem...picture of Chris above a smaller screenshot of the CP website.

I don't, but I'm sure that someone out there has both the March issue and a scanner. ;)

I subscribed to MSJ and they turned it into a pile of web rubbish. That's fine for people who need it, but it's value to me steadily plummetted and I am still enduring the 'quick, you might miss a valuable issue' cards in the mail ( four months now ). It's almost like Readers Digest - they keep telling us we have passed two of three steps to winning a fortune. I believe the first step is being alive and the second is they know where I live. Christian The content of this post is not necessarily the opinion of my yadda yadda yadda. To understand recursion, we must first understand recursion.

It's an old ad with a picture of me before I became a stress puppy :) We had an opportunity to get an ad in but had no time to get new art done. I think the retro, last-century look is very stylish ;). Maybe I should offer a prize to the person who can name the date when the ad first came out... cheers, Chris Maunder

Now you've got me curious :) Can't wait to see the ad, it's a shame I probably have to wait a month for it. -- Alex Marbus

I can name the date but I shall withdraw my name as it wouldn't be fair ;)

I totally agree, however they are cover .net and c# now and John Robbins and Jeffrey Richter are always a good read. But re: the web stuff, why on earth couldn't it remain in 'MIND' magazine where I could easily ignore it? I've filled in readership surveys from distributors to the same effect. Stephen Kellett (*)Its not that I'm anti web, its just I don't need a very good developer magazine dumbing down, I mean who needs articles about XML, there is shed loads of stuff at w3c.

Teh heh, Yep, focusing more on VB rubbish on every issue. I've the early 'hardcore' versions (pre '92) with Charles Petzold and chums, I'll treasure them forever - oh maybe not. Norm
