Turfing? That's so 20th century man! :) We bought a rototiller and I spent a week removing all evidence of grass from the front lawn which is the size of most very large city lots and planting short growing clover instead. No mowing next summer and it stays nice and green whatever the weather.

Not to mention hard bloody work but Im enjoying it, I've been using a fork to loosen the old grass and weeds and pulling them up by hand. I do 15 mins or so after work while its still light and Im almost finished.

We've used a new grass called Sir Walter that does really well on little water which is good as the water restrictions only allow us to water the lawn with a hose on sunday and wednesday mornings and evenings. We put down 8 rolls as a test about a month ago and its really taken off

Hey I just returfed my 20m2 of grass as well. A couple of weeks of good thunderstorms and now it looks lush enough to lie on. I dug all the old grass and weeds out and laid all the turf in one day. Now there's some work that is harder than programming for you.
