It actually depends upon the amount of sun that the donut tree receives while the donut is blooming. BTW have you ever been to a donut harvest festival? ;)

That reminds me of the spaghetti tree[^] hoax. That reminds me that there is actually a spaghetti squash[^]. We used to grow them when I was little.

I think I got it :) You use the 1st knife to cut the donut in a 'spiral' fashion, then use the 2nd to split the 'long spiral' donut :) In fact this should work for any number, except the knife might get blunt and the donut will have to big rather big too :)

it can work. Bend the half donut to make the severed ends meet at 12 oc clock. Make a cut across entering and exiting at the 4 and 8 positions. You'll get 3 equal pieces that way. Stack the two bent halves so that same cut splits both and you get 6 parts. With a real donut you probably can't bend it quite as sharply and will have to make both ends of the cut closer to the 6 position.

Ok, fold the donut in half, and then half again, and then again so that's in 3'rds, kind of "cone" shaped at this point, I believe. Using one knife, cut off one side Using the other knife, cut off the other side When you're done, I think you'll have 6 pieces after that ... Damn, I need a donut to test this out on ...

Have you seen a donut recently? If you tried to "fold" it that many times you'd end up with a handful of crumbs, a group of pissed off little kids, and then a woman with a knife, a headache (from the kids), and an extremely bad disposition towards you. Yeah, sounds like a true win/win situation!!! :)

In order for this to be easy to explain checkout this figure[^]. So, cut horizontally from left to right up until the dotted line. Without moving the donut bend the left side over the right one to form a C shape (flipped). Now make a second cut on the dotted line. With this final cut, the left C shape is split into 6 pieces (3 for the top C shape and 3 for the button one) and there is the right piece, making it 7 pieces.

I dont remember the last time i used a knife to actually cut a donought! Just cut it with your hands and get it done with! Save the knives for something proper. Whats with the use and throw knives anyway? They get too blunt to cut throught the donought and need to be thrown away? They melt?! Or they get dirty and are unusable because of that? Alternatively take 1 knife cut the donought in 7 and throw it away once your done with it, tell her to keep the other knife... Nothing extreme required

Cut the donut in half. You get 2 C shaped pieces. Place them on top of each other and make another cut top-down on the C shape to divide each shape into 3. There you go. 6 pieces

Dude, let's say for instance you cut it completely horizontally in two circular pieces (rings), bent it to form a C shape and cut top-down on the C shape. How many pieces do you get? 4 for each circular piece. So in total 8 pieces. But because my solution suggested not a complete horizontal cut, the right part of the donut is actually only one piece because it is not split. So there are 7 pieces.

Cut the donut into Half. This will give us two C shaped donut pieces. Now place them as piece#1 as "C" at bottom and on top of it 2nd piece but in flipped "C" form so basically like "X" but overlapped. then cut in middle. This gives us 6 pieces. I hope you can visualize what I was saying.

the right part of the donut is actually only one piece because it is not split.

the right part is ok but the left part with only have two piece

Seriously. I've uploaded another figure[^]. The left, top and bottom pieces are double (because they are horizontally cut through the middle.) The right piece is single.

if that's the case then she needs 7 pieces, not 6
