You're talking about polar caps melting into the ocean, which is therefore not usable for drinking. Inland glaciers however can be used for water, but if they melt too fast then it is lost to the ground. However, more melting will lead to more precipitation, but that could lead to the drier parts of continents becoming more dry. I haven't looked much into the drought argument.

No no no... Those light bulbs use less energy. Most electricity these days is generated by burning coal or other fossil fuels. Less energy use means less energy generation means less coal burned.

Global warming potentially is real, though mostly natural. Lefties have always been a threat to national security, but most are not terrorists. A terrorist is somebody who tries to make people change by scaring them into doing what the terrorist wants them to do... OK, many are terrorists :laugh: But I usually think of terrorists as killing innocent people or chopping the heads off of journalists on film, not contributing to mass hysteria through politicized propaganda. I guess you may have a point there, Gore just got the Nobel Peace Prize for political terrorism. Why not, Arafat got the NPP for being a terrorist. I suppose it would be legit if they changed the name to the Nobel Terrorist Prize.

Actually, technically it does. More water in the ocean means rising ocean levels. This increases ocean surface area as the ocean expands further inland. More ocean surface area, more evaporation. :D
