OK - I've just watched the latest Die Hard film. While I enjoyed it, I really had to bite my tongue over the use of computers in it - it was amazing how you could hack into secure supercomputers with a PalmPilot. The worrying thing is that Microsoft stated a while back that it wanted to make computing more like the movies so that cinemagoers would find computers easy to understand. Oh great, we're going to see applications that have huge red numbers in the centre of the screen counting down.

I finally got to watch SwordFish - same there - hacking into "512bit encryption with a worm" in less than 60 seconds. And he needed a graphic representation of his worm spread over 5 monitors. Porn for geeks. I must admit I am a bit of a Willis fan, so this DVD is on my xmas list. Unless you've finished with your copy Pete?

I finally got to watch SwordFish - same there - hacking into "512bit encryption with a worm" in less than 60 seconds. And he needed a graphic representation of his worm spread over 5 monitors. Porn for geeks. I must admit I am a bit of a Willis fan, so this DVD is on my xmas list. Unless you've finished with your copy Pete?

The security codes are easy to crack when the system confirms each digit you guess correctly.

Still think the original takes some beating though...and his best mindless, pointless, impossible(less) film - Armageddon. Must have watched that 20+ times? Generally throw it on when working late, and just glance at it for the 'good' bits. And Last Man Standing...another good one.

Who would win in a straight fight - Bruce Willis or Mel Gibson. (That is fighting against each other, not against different people. And straight fight means, no weapons, just bare knuckles, not 'straight' as opposed to a gay fight. Not that I know what a gay fight entails. Anybody?)
