I'm just wondering if anybody is using VS 2005 on 64-bit XP and if so are there any drawbacks? Would it be better to just install 32-bit XP even though my processor is a 64-bit Xeon? Ken

I'm not using 64 bit windows anymore, but I was for awhile and had no problems developing .Net and C++ apps to run on both 64 and 32 bit processors off of it. I found that Visual Studio was one of the few programs I used that gave me no problems at all. The only reason I switched back was that I had a ton of issues with other programs and drivers.

I am, and have been for some time. I mostly use it for C++ development, but do also use it for C# development. I've had no problems at all and would recommend it. If, like me, you develop 64-bit software, you're going to need the x64 version of XP...
