I have none. Well, this morning went ok, but now I actually have to do something that requires thinking, rather than moving folders and files around and cleaning up the source repositories. Where's the mental lens to help with the focus? Some light would help too! Marc

Make sure you get plenty of it, combined with a complete diet and a full nights sleep. Lacking that, just OD on caffeine.

Early morning exercise. Getting enough sleep. Music. Remove clutter in your work area. Check the balance on your bank account. Open a window and feel a good clean breeze through the room. Make sure I have enough time for my projects so I don't resent the work I have to do for my paycheck. Talk to someone about what you are working on. Find something you want that depends on the work you have to do. That's whats been working for me. Sometimes I have to try a few before I find something that works, but something from that list usually works.

Thanks! That's actually very helpful. The diet is complete, the sleep wasn't that great, and exercise has been lacking since playing soccer on Sunday. Hmmmm. Marc

That's funny I was going to suggest a few rounds of Hocus Pocus cranked up to 11. My all time favorite quirky song, although Surfin Bird by the Trashmen is a close second.

Focus is improved by the narrowing of vision. There's a philosophical notion in there somewhere, but I suspect I'm too focused to see it. :-D

As long as you can avoid the posterior portion of the horse's anatomy, something that's occasionally difficult in our industry. :)
