Tremors

About 20 minutes ago, there was a noticeable tremor here in Amman, Jordan. My home office's bookshelf suffered 3 fallen books and a decent rattling of its glass. That was decent tremor too... it lasted for about 15-20 seconds, much longer then usual.

Seeing as we're neighbors Mustafa... We also experienced the earthquake here in Israel. For a few seconds our office in Jerusalem was swaying. Strange feeling. Happens from time to time around here - the region is located right over a major fault. Everything's calm now. Oh yeah - registered 4.2 on the Richter scale.

Hey, these small shakes make for funny stuff. I'm a big guy (6'2"/280lbs), so this one time during college, I throw myself on the couch at my parent's living room and the room was shaking, lamps swaying, things falling off of the shelf.. it was that moment that I thought to myself "OK, that's it, I'm going to the gym to lose some weight because this is ridiculous!". It was when my younger brother popped in and asked me whether I felt the earth shake did I realize I wasn't at fault  ;p Of course, I'm not talking about the big ones. Those things are beyond belief. I actually volunteered to help out with the results of the earthquake that had hit Turkey back in 1999.

We get a few in California. The big question when you feel one starting is will it be interesting or really intersting?
