Here we go again... what are you doing this weekend? :) I'll be seeing my onsite tech lead off today. Not sure about tomorrow (apart from cooking), but I'll be visiting an ailing recovering granduncle on Sunday.

    Cheers, विक्रम

Drinking beer and sleeping. And seeing a friend off who is going on a trip around the world for half a year. That is probably it. Finally got a less busy weekend, maybe some time to finally play Super Mario Galaxy until my heart's content and not bound by times and getting up early because of social events. Already looking forward to the weekend :)

I'll be studying higher maths and probably try to get work on my long overdue website. I'll also probably try to work on the introduction to programming articles I'm thinking about because I'm shocked at the quality of posts I'm seeing :sigh:

"Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning." - Rick Cook "There is no wealth like knowledge, no poverty like ignorance." Ali ibn Abi Talib "Animadvertistine, ubicumque stes, fumum recta in faciem ferri?"

Recovering from all the overeating yesterday :-O. For most folks in the U.S. today is a holiday. I get to work at least half a day today, to make up for taking off early on Wednesday. My daughter is learning how to drive. She wants to go on a longer drive (a couple of hours), so we'll be taking a mini-trip somewhere today or tomorrow. One thing we are not doing this weekend is putting up the Christmas decorations. I'm putting my foot down. No Christmas stuff until it is officially December. I'm serious. No! You can't make me.

I'm working tomorrow, because I took a day off on Wednesday. Hopefully I will manage to get up early and finish early. :P Sunday is always a laze about day for me, that's the one day in the week I actually do nothing - I read books (not programming books), play a lot of computer/console games and hang out with my girlfriend in the evening or sometimes visit family. This week we're going to visit her cousin.

My neighbor across the street put his exterior decorations up last weekend :|. I just don't get into the "Christmas spirit", as it were, until a couple of weeks before the actual holiday. That's when I like to do all the decorating, shopping, etc. If we start earlier, it just seems to dull the whole experience. By the time Christmas Day rolls around, you're bored with it.

I feel exactly the same way. That's why I hate when hypermarkets/malls decorate their halls so early. I like shopping in such atmosphere but it's good a couple of weeks before Christmas, as you said, not earlier. And NOT in November!

Well, my first try to bake gingerbread was a fully successful. This weekend I'll try two other recipes. Let's see which one of my three gingerbread variations turns out to be the best! :) (... and let's hope the cookies won't burn to ashes in the oven. I also have to do a bit of writing and coding.)

OK, today I'll work till late, tomorrow I'll go to buy a couple of books (not programming books) and I'll buy the newspaper and read it while taking an espresso in a special coffee shop. In the afternoon I'll go to Barcelona to dinner with my friends and then we will go to the casino in order to spend the littlest amount of money allowed there... Mostly it is nice to see that place, how the people there are and how do they behave... During the Sunday I suppose I'll try to start reading the books, to go walking a little bit and to rest. Nothing else, apart from connecting to the CP, of course. ;)
