I'm looking for something to bake cookies by this year. My mom wasn't amused to discover I had a manson album playing last year and I don't want to use a traditional cloyingly saccharine cd either.

      Maybe this[^] will suffice? ;)

I have here: "A Rock and Roll Christmas" "The Coolest Christmas" "The Edge of Christmas" For family gatherings you could go with some "new age" like Mannheim Steamroller's stuff, there's plenty of it.

You could also try the new Sister Hazel album "Santa's Playlist". It has a soft rock/country rock feel to it, but it's a really fun album.

I don't need family party bland. It's just going to be me, and possibly my brother and sister baking cookies and I want to tweak my moms nose a little without giving her grounds to object. I effectively took over the job in my early/mid teens after helping for as long as I could reach the table standing on a chair (initially only in quality control). :)
