I'm sure he switched to F8 (fate) and then several F1's... :-D

If by F1 you mean double whiskeys, neat, you hit the nail right on the head :)

"On one of my cards it said I had to find temperatures lower than -8. The numbers I uncovered were -6 and -7 so I thought I had won, and so did the woman in the shop. But when she scanned the card the machine said I hadn't. It was completely unexpected... I mean, what do you do, what do you say, where do you look? Reflexes kicked in, and unfortunately those reflexes led to repeated F5/F6 pressing! Damn you reflexes! Why couldn't I have come up with a Bond style witticism instead!

Obviously you need more practice. May I suggest that you send Ms Minogue round to my house? While she's round mine, you could practice on somebody a little less challenging - say, Dame Edna Everage.

Poor Dannii - she's finally coming out of Kylie's shadow (a small shadow) and then Kylie turns up like this. She can come round to my house for a shoulder to cry on.

How about I send Dame Edna around to yours and keep the Minogue girls at mine? :)

The same happened to me once... I was chatting away to Kylie, suggesting that she might even go more skimpy in her next appearance, when all of a sudden VS packed up, and wouldn't let me F5 or F6. I can't remember for sure, as Kylie suddenly stripped naked in front of me, but I think I reset VS with devenv /setup and that sorted everything.

Now that's just wrong. Plain wrong. Kylie naked in front of you and you're trying to hit F5/F6. Talk about imagining a refrigerator, but I could think of better things to do.

Funnily enough - I've just had another one. At first I thought it might have been caused by a poltergheist or other unquiet spirit but now I realise it's an unquiet wife.

Most guys would consider that worth the pain.

sure, but IIRC Pete recently was out for some 20 mintues for no good reason at all; don't want to imagine what will happen to him when caught in the new circumstances.
