    Not a new story but I was just reading an article about it. I was interested since I've read about it in CP Forum a few weeks ago and thought it's a completely new idea.       My understanding is that it was modeled after the Mach micro kernel, which was also the basis for NextStep and OSX.

        I always suspected that Vista was brougt out because of business needs above anything else. 7 should be what they wanted Vista to be. Elaine :rose:

            Yeah, I have Vista on two boxes only because I'm a dev. It brings no new functionality to the party that XP didn't have, adds a bunch of clumsy, PITA security stuff, and runs slower. Gosh, why wouldn't anyone want to buy that? I hope 7 actually has some additional functionality over XP. I couldn't give a rat's rear end about the glitzy eye candy.
