Over the last two weeks we had vacation and today is the first working day. It's soooooo cold in our office! We can't really work! The only warm place in our building seems to be the kitchen and I guess our boss would not like to see us the whole day there :( I've already a cold and this does not really help me to get well fast :(

Sometimes it gets quite cold at our workplace too. It depends mainly on the outside conditions. :) Hot tea and underpants help. ;)

It's so hot in my office I've had to shut down my machine occasionally because the fans sound like they are about to spin off into orbit. I just thought I'd share that with you :D

        cheers, Chris Maunder

We turn up in jumpers and Coats, but sit in T shirts. Except in summer, when it is the other way round! They need to find a happy medium between heating and aircon!

Actually I'm in Australia at the moment hiding from everyone in my summer sabatical when I get my own work done. This week will be nicely over 40C. It always bothers me that when I'm back in North America it's way too hot indoors in Winter and way too cold in Summer. What's wrong with feeling a *little* chilly in winter and a *little* warm in Summer?

            cheers, Chris Maunder

I was there just over a year ago, and will be again next Christmas. I like the warm weather! Michelle, my wife likes to spend the "in betweeny" Christmasses here in the cold.

Damn, this is the Lounge, could send you a few choice words right now. Woke up to inch thick ice over the puddles that the torrential rain/sleet produced over the weekend. If I get any whiter Alan Donald will start using me as sunblock.

Indeed. Christmas day in South Africa involves a braai on a hot beach. Christmas day in Ireland involves a huddle around the portable heater.

We have control over the air-conditioning remote. (We just have the one wall-mounted air-conditioner, and really only because one was put in on the other side of the wall to cool the server lab. The rest of the building is conventionally heated with central heating.)

I've worked in good and bad offices. Current one is okay. I was even able to ride my motorcycle today which in Ohio can be done between snow storms. Freezing last week, 60's F today. djj :)
