I need to read the physical drive sectors and use them can I do that using vb.net or do I have to use VB6. I don't want to read the logical drive I want to read the physical drive. i.e.: 010 editor (software) lets u read either the logical drive of a physical drive or the physical drive itself. thx for ur help.

You have to use the Win32 API to do this. There are no classes built into the .NET Framework to do it for you. Even if you use VB6, you still have to use the exact same technique. Google results for "vb.net read disk sectors[^]".
