Ah CP, how I love thee! As wretched as I feel, like crooked dog's heel, I must get my fixation, By telling the CP nation Of how I feel because I'm sick, Coughing up icky-ick, But up I get, out of bed, To tell thee CP that I love thee! PS. I am as sick as a dog and I'm medically considered 'high' at the moment because of all the medication. I just hope this doesn't affect the article I'm writing

"Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning." - Rick Cook "There is no wealth like knowledge, no poverty like ignorance." Ali ibn Abi Talib "Animadvertistine, ubicumque stes, fumum recta in faciem ferri?"

The 3rd law of CP explicitly states that "none shall write poetry about CP". Get some sleep and shake it off! :)

I've been bed ridden for nearly 3 days now Steve! I was happy to get up! No where near fit enough to go back to work but I need to move. I'll lay off the poetry, promise :D

What you need is some chicken soup and a shot of whiskey before bed! It'll do you wonders! :-D Your poetry wasn't that bad, just enclose it in curly braces or slap a try catch around it to make it look official. :)

Once upon a time, long long ago, in a galaxy far away, I used to write poetry and short stories prolifically. I stopped about 6 years ago. I regret that. It was a great past time. I admit, this totally sucked

You don't know what high is until you chugged 2 bottles of Robotussin Cough. Then post on CP after it kicks in, its fun trust me.

Better believe I'm chugging that stuff by the barrel. Alas, no whiskey! If my wife were to find out I had a whiff of the stuff while sick... :terrified:

That's what I'm taking, but not two bottles worth... Ever tried Bubkley's[^]? That stuff is lethal, both to your lucidity and your cough. Two sips, I mean that, 2 sips and its gone. Can't find it in Jordan though, :( . PS, it taste's like liquefied crap but NOTHING on this planet takes care of coughs like that thing does.

True, but presumably I was quite good at it, to the point where it caught the attention of Dr. Ishmael Reed (the vice-dean of the School of letters at UCB, at least back then, I have no idea what he's doing now). In fact, I've won quite a few awards :-\. I just... lost the inspiration. I'll give the link you gave me a go :)

I think Robotussin taste terrible. Just the smell of it gives me goosbumps. I can take alot of it and it doesnt seem to effect my cough. I find psudoephedrine and a antihistimine works well when your sick, it doesn't take care of the cough but it helps with everything else. If you want to try something that taste really nasty, try Zicam Cough. It has the same amount of Dextromethorphan as a bottle of robotussin but the whole bottle could fit in a 1 or 2 shot glasses. You are suppost to spray it in your mouth but I dont see how anyone could tolerate the taste, you might as well drink blended wasps. The best tasting cough medicine has either got to be Delsym, or Zicam Cough Melts. Each cough melt contains 30mg of cough suppressent and it taste like candy almost, but it takes longer to kick in it seems like.

Pity there's so much Guaifenesin in Robitussin though, makes it difficult to get enough DXM without getting all vomitty ;P I guess there's a reason they did that though ;) [edit] oh, and afaik, technically, you're not high then but dissociated :) [/edit]

They still sell DXM only syrup, and there are plenty of other brands that are DXM only. You will get all vomitty no matter whats in it, DXM just plain hurts the stomach.

Very true, but other junk added certainly doesn't help. Indeed, long live dxm only capsules and syrup ;P
