My lovely girl friend Ariella is just over twelve weeks pregnant with out first child. She's doing well, the morning sickness is starting to pass and we're both very excited.
Congrats mate! Hope it all goes well. And if it gets particularly stressful, just remember, a few billion couples have done it before ;)

Ignore the idiots, and congratulations. I trust Ariella is doing well. Have you had the first scan yet? That's a magical moment.

Why is nobody ever asks the woman this question? It's like asking a bloke "Got any kids?" The reply is always the same "None that I know of, he he.". Why don't women answer like this?

Thanks mate, I think I should be saying the same to you, four days and the test was all over!
Thanks, but I'm an Australian cricket fan, accidentally born in India. Sadly, after the Sydney Test, I'm not so sure any more. :sigh:
Cheers, Vikram.

Explain that to my sister with a 6 month old, going through a divorce from her cheating husband of 2 years. Family values - certainly had us all fooled. Commitment - he was with the other woman before he met my sister, while living together, and after the wedding. Certainly commited.X|

Congratulations to both of you.:rose: Are you eligible for paternity leave from work? A guy from work here just took 2 weeks off for his, and is very happy.

I am absolutely over the moon!!! I've had a lot of people with kids tell me how hard it is, how we wont get any sleep, how it costs a fortune etc but every now and then a father will look me in the eye and something like "it is just sooooo cool". They're the kind of comments that send shivers down my spine, I just really really cant wait. We'd planned it but when we found out I was still a little shocked and it took a while to sink in. I've spent some time thinking about the kind of parent I wont to be and I keep coming back to the word enthusiasm. I think about my own father and others who I admire as parents (this most defiantly includes you) and that seems to be the common element. I'd be interested to here some of your thoughts on parent hood. Perhaps you'd email me when you have some time - gray dot josh at gmail....
