VS 2008 pricing - Canada VS. USA

    With the Canadian dollar on par with the USD, you would think that the pricing would be identical between the two countries, but apparently not. I get most of my software online through programmersparadise.ca. On the .ca site it's $657 CAD for VS2008 PRO upgrade, while it's $479 on their .com site, which conveniently doesn't ship to Canada. Can anyone recommend another site to purchase the software from that actually takes into consideration the value of the Canadian dollar?

          Just got off the phone with their support. He didn't mention anything about tariffs or whatnot, but said it's up to Microsoft to set the price, and they can't provide it at a 'discounted' rate until the price adjustment trickles down from MS.

            Exactly. Many companies sell their products cheaper in developing countries. Ta!
