Warcraft 3 is out. Anyone have it? I dont want to waste my money if it isnt worth it. I tried google for a demo but the results were mostly movies and shady stuff.
I bought it last week, and have gone through the human campaign. The gameplay is pure Blizzard. Simple and fun. It plays almost identically to WC2, that should give you some idea. The differences are: Heroes. When your heroes party kills a monster it earns experience points and gains levels. You can then spend the level points on hero skills. A Starcraft style campaign with the story progressing as you go from one race to the next. Very nice graphics. Full 3D, and it looks fantastic. World editor. Looks very powerful but I havent used it yet. So far I have enjoyed the game. It has a vertain level of addiction, and most of all it's fun. Does that help?

I just finished it (ahh... school work can wait! it's a Blizzard game! :-D ). it was good, i thoroughly enjoyed, but i've always liked RTS games, especially the ones from Blizzard. The 3d graphics are nice, as is the concept of heroes, and the differences between the races.. although, not as diverse as in Starcraft, there's still enough of a diffence to make me happy. i haven't convinced my housemates yet to get it, so i can't talk about the multiplayer aspect, but i assume it's as good as earlier Warcraft/Starcraft. the 90food limit is my only major "beef" with the game. i give it 4/5 bobs :bob: :bob: :bob: :bob:
