A local chain's new BBQ chicken flavour has just renewed my enthusiasm for the office snacks cupboard.

Man, I must not be cut out to be a developer any more. I hear about some product like that, and my first reaction is what kinda chemicals are in that. I've gone over completely and become a fresh whole food junkie. :sigh:

The difference between pH 13 and pH 8 is five, which meant that pH 13 was ten to the fifth power - a hundred thousand times - more alkaline than pH 8. That kind of thing goes on all the time. But no matter how many diplomas are tacked to your wall, give people a figure like that and they'll pass you off as a flake. You can't get most people to believe how wildly the eco-laws get broken. But if I say "More than twice the legal limit," they get comfortably outraged. - Neal Stephenson

I'm trying, but these are free (on the company). When my wallet recovers from the last year-end festivities and interest, I'll get back to whole fruit and veg by day, and fish at night, interspersed with occasional beef.

Yeah, it's a shame how expensive good food is. I remember being able to eat on $30 or so a week getting by on processed food. Now my grocery bill is just a bit higher, even with trips to the farmer's market. :^)

Isn't it just. On a budget I normally have a fruit salad from breakfast, and wheat bread and tuna, or something like that for lunch, which costs just under R20 a day, the bread being provided. Then I'm at the mercy of whatever my house mate cooks for supper. It's always nice, just not always healthy, e.g. last night macaroni with Bolognaise source.

Yup i got myself caught into the Noodles in a cup, the sheer ease of it is what drew me to it! On the whole though i know the feeling of trying as best you can to eat healthy! Atleast i've gotten as far as Brown bread for Breakfast and Lunch
