I had a good evening hanging out with a bunch of single friends. I'd obviously much rather have had an actual date, but we all got dressed up, headed over to one of the girls' house, and ate a really nice dinner and sat around talking and drinking coffee afterward. It was probably one of the most enjoyable Valentines Days I've had yet. :) How about everybody else?

I missed it, was rather busy and all that. It tends to happen a lot more than I'd like. I'm in Tuesday and then Thursday and Wednesday must have happened but I don't feel particularly specific about it and the order and count of events is troublingly hard to pin down. Still in this case I don't really care, it's seldom beena day I've taken much notice of.

I ordered a takeaway from the local Indian[^] and wondered why it was going to take 30-40 minutes to be ready. It was quite busy as well when I went to pick it up (they don't deliver). As I was getting cash to pay for it the ATM swallowed my card. That old bank account I keep meaning to close, which has a small amount of slush in it, is suddenly very handy. It was my birthday last week. My car decided to develop a misfire and I got a bill for £300.

Excellent, my wife brought me flowers for my office and then made a nice dinner. I in turn made a sweet valentines day card for her and we had a nice long hot tub soak later on.

Yeah, it was fun. Lots of good food, lots of good wine, other good things...

But who is the king of all of these folks?

I'm glad you had fun. Mine was great. I got the wife a dozen roses and a funny card. Then we went to the same restruant we've been going to for the last five years. After a very nice meal I had two more beers and had sex for an hour. It was pretty much perfect. Thanks for asking.

Ouch. Sometimes those things are necessary. Sucks when it happens on or near a holiday, though. I'm sure it was for a good reason, though. :rose:

Ooooohhh. That so sucks. :(( But often it's better to get it over with than to prolong what isn't getting better... I hope next V-day you'll have more cheerful news. :-D
