A recently unclassified report from the Pentagon from 1998 has revealed an investigation into using laser beams for a few intriguing potential methods of non-lethal torture. Some of the applications the report investigated include putting voices in people's heads, using lasers to trigger uncontrolled neuron firing, and slowly heating the human body to a point of feverish confusion - all from hundreds of meters away.[^] FINALLY! A reason for those voices in my head ... right?!? uh ... right? Right Doug, that's it. Good I'm glad you agree. I'm glad you're glad, Doug. Want to go get some more coffee? Sure, but I want dark roast. Hey! Me too!

There's the problem. Who needs lasers?

Bad Astronomy |VCF|wxWidgets|WTLMartin Cannon wrote a text called The Controllers some time back, mainly about UFO abductees and explanations. Most people, like me, found the non-UFO portions more interesting: mind control theories, technologies, experiments, etc. From Delgado's stimoceiver (i.e. physical control of creatures) to pseudo-memory to implanting suggestions via specially-tuned microwaves, this is an interesting read. Something for everyone to enjoy, either in agreement or derision. And it has plenty of references at the end. http://www.subversiveelement.com/MKmartin2.html[^]

Bad Astronomy |VCF|wxWidgets|WTLThis does not surprise me. My cat has been telling me this for years. He found out from lab animals that escaped about the project. In fact it's well known that all this talk of water-boarding is just a cover up for this operation. Sometimes I don't like what my cat tells me, but I always obey him, cause I know he speaks directly for Jebus. ;-)

And all this time I thought that the intelligent talking animals were a project from Nimh.

The last of those -- heating of the human body -- did have a practical application and is in development -- The Active Denial System: You Tube Link[^] (I picked this one because the intro was just too funny....The real "weapon" shows up at about 50ish seconds in)
