Does anyone know what happened to the series "Surface" It was about some boy that found some genetic engineered sea monster. Was it cancelled after season 1? I thought it was really good but the last episode I saw ended very strange. (some city was flooded and loads of sea monsters swam into the city and that was it..) So anyone got some info about it?

I was more partial to 'Threshold'[^] myself, which also got canned, but Invasion was pretty good too. They just ended Surface and that was that...TV deserves it's declining ratings. The medium isn't the message any more...dooofs.

              It sucked and was canceled.

Yeah....they didn't even give it a chance, then they moved it's time slot without telling hardly anyone, so of course people missed the last couple of episodes, and they go 'See?...no ratings...we're cancelling it'...buggers.

I have to agree - I was getting really into that. Sure, parts were more than a little derivative - but what isn't now I'm old and cynical. But 'twas well done. But not being a US consumer, I suspect I have little voice... Iain.

I think after so many complained about firefly the new way of handling shows is to create one season, and cancel it. Then wait to see how many complain, Jerico is a good example. So I guess what we should all do is refuse to watch the first season, until they have already contracted the second. Of course then who would rally to support the show when it was canceled. This practice is starting to become SOP.
