Carpentry, plumbing, electrical, sheet rock, paint, concrete, roofing, trim, tile, wood floors, A/C, window replacement, computer hardware and programmer! I'm a one stop shop! Mike

We've got a guy coming in a few weeks to replace the floor boards in the upstairs rooms. He's going to take out the mess that is there, put down a ply wood subfloor and then glue and secret nail 80mm tallow boards. He'll then leave it for a few weeks to acclimatise to the moisture level in the house and return to sand and polish. Any advice on how I can get the old door trims off without disturbing too much of the old lime render? I leart the hard way when painting that drummy render should be left alone!

I'm the back end for my wife's cookie company. Do a lot of graphic design, marketing, research, packaging and shipping. Not really a profession, more like "do it or else" type work, and hey, who doesn't like bubble wrap? :-).

engineer in natural sciences. i just stumbled upon programming during my studies and since there are no "real" software developers here (none that did study that stuff), i stayed tuned to it, even though i am just a hobbyist.

Well, not exactly a profession, because I don't get paid, but I am a volunteer firefighter. I am SCBA certified, but not a team-leader yet (I don't have the time to do the courses). I also am trained in technical rescue (extraction, etc.). I also used to be a call-center-agent (yes, I was one of the bad buys, but I got fired because I refused to lie) and a technician for hand-held computers (PSION workabout MX, Blackroc P60) which are used to print traffic tickets. (You gotta love cops: One officer dropped his handheld. Instead of getting out of the car, he decided that rolling over it was a better idea. After he finished, he still couldn't get to it from his seat, so he rolled over it AGAIN.)
