      Answer depends heavily on whether you need to load balance your application or not, on average basis an encrypted Cookie will do.. There are three commonly used methods that you can pass information from one page to another 1. Cookie 2. State Server 3. Session variable * - Query string is out, as it is not recognized as secure as above three Assumption Application = Web Application
