Here on the west coast of Canada the trees are budding, the early spring flowers like the crocuses (crocii?) are all out and blooming, I've just put in a veggie garden and planted the early stuff like the broad beans and the peas. Next up in two weeks are the collard greens and the chard.

60F today, 50F tomorrow. Friday/Saturday left a foot+ of wet snow on the ground, on top of a few older inches. Tonight into tomorrow we're supposed to get 1.25" of rain. All the usual suspects are probably going to flood.
Otherwise [Microsoft is] toast in the long term no matter how much money they've got. They would be already if the Linux community didn't have it's head so firmly up it's own command line buffer that it looks like taking 15 years to find the desktop. -- Matthew Faithfull
