I'm looking for a free program to recover a deleted file from a FAT file system. I've tried a few and they all sucked. :( Anyone? Thanks in advance.

well, if you want free: http://www.thefreecountry.com/utilities/datarecovery.shtml[^] I have used testdisk successfully. But the most efficient ones have been commercial. You are welcome to try all the others.

Aside from the recommended software above. If you didn't make an exact copy of the disk right after you deleted the file, you can allready stop looking for something free that will find it back.
