It's about quality of life I know that! :) Oh, and the human body is designed to live 120 years I'm curious, how do you know that? It's actually fun. Yep, Most definately :) Also, should I mention the sex is better when you're healthy My wife has no complaints Also, should I mention your memory could get better? There's evidence to show that food high in vitamin B helps here too. I'm not fanatical about fitness and I don't take body building drugs, but I bike to work most days and I try to swim regularly. ...about why we are encouraged to excercise It is well documented that for every minute that you exercise, you add one minute to your life. This enables you at 85 years old to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing home at $5000 per month. My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. Now she's 97 years old and we don't know where the hell she is. The only reason I would take up exercising is so that I could hear heavy breathing again. I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 bucks. Haven't lost a pound. Apparently you have to show up. I have to exercise early in the morning before my brain figures out what I'm doing. I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me. I have flabby thighs, but fortunately my stomach covers them. The advantage of exercising every day is that you die healthier. If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country. Personally, I don't exercise because it makes the ice jump right out of my glass. Aaah... It's time to relax. You know what that means: a glass of beer, your favorite ergo chair... And of course, The Code Project loaded on your Personal Computer System. So go on, and indulge yourself, put your feet up. Lean back and just enjoy the articles. After all, CP sooths even the savage :bob:

Mark Twain once said: "Whenever i feel the need to exercise i lie down till it passes". Sounds like good advice to me :) Richard Monarchies, aristocracies, and religions....there was never a country where the majority of the people were in their secret hearts loyal to any of these institutions. B vitamins are good for the blood, thyroids, immunes, endocrine system, etc. And, they help mask your natural scents. Paresh Solanki wrote: but I bike to work most days and I try to swim regularly. Hey, that's great! You don't have to be fanatical about it, just getting some physical activity is what your body needs. Several years ago, when my doctor warned me about high blood pressure, frequent sex was included in the list of activities to add to one's lifestyle in order to reduce blood pressure. Now that my blood pressure is down significantly, I don't know whether to attribute it to my long distance running or my frequent sex. :-D Chris

The only one I can think of that quoted a figure for a human lifespan was The Bible (three score and ten, or 70 years), and I'm not even sure I got the book right.
