Addin Tools[^] Looks like it creates one whopping ribbon tab and someone painstakingly went through and recreated all the menus like Office 2003.

Awesome! Makes me wonder though, why am I even using Office 2007? Simply to email docx files and have the recipient email me back with "I can't open this in Google Apps and I only have Office 2003, can you please resend it in the older format?". Yeah, that floats my boat! Nice find. Thanks! Marc

I am still curious as to why people even use Office. I switched everything to OpenOffice.org. Yes initially it was a pain, being that I have a library of VBA for Excel documents. But I can open all of my files in Windows and Linux. And no one asks me to resend documents in a older version on Office. FYI: You could point a someone to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en[^] This is a file compatibility pack provided by Microsoft so that those without the new Office software can still open the newer files.

5'd. I said the same thing the other day. I also have the Office viewer apps installed. My only caveat is that my CV has some formatting that gets screwed up in OO.

            Cheers, Vikram.

Zeppelin's law: In any Soapbox discussion involving Stan Shannon, the probability of the term "leftist" or "Marxist" appearing approaches 1 monotonically. Harris' addendum: I think you meant "monotonously". Martin's second addendum: Jeffersonian... I think that should at least get a mention.

The new equation editor is enough for me. Seriously it's fantastic.

Marc, You don't need Office 2007 to view docx files, you can just use Word 2007 Viewer[^]
