So who else has recorded their music ???

Having posted a few of my songs in a slew of shameless self promotion, does anyone else have any music that they've recorded and can make available ? I'm sure we're all interested to hear about the hidden talents of other CPians..... Christian come on all you MS suckups, defend your sugar-daddy now. - Chris Losinger - 11/07/2002

I have a spoof of "We are the World" that my cousin and I made up and recorded (on tape) about 20 years ago. Oh... you wanted talent. Never mind.

I was in a band that recorded two albums several years ago. Unfortunately, we split up and I don't think I have the rights to post the music right now. None of my songs made it onto the albums. We spent lots of time on the road and played hundreds of gigs. We never got to the point that I seriously considered giving up my day job though. I had quite a bit fun while it lasted. My previous band played almost as many gigs but since we played so many covers (Dead-clone band) we never made it into a studio. I wish I could share some of it. Oh yes, I played the bass in these two bands. :) The Ten Commandments For C Programmers

I have some stuff burried on tapes somewhere. Tim Smith I know what you're thinking punk, you're thinking did he spell check this document? Well, to tell you the truth I kinda forgot myself in all this excitement. But being this here's CodeProject, the most powerful forums in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question, Do I feel lucky? Well do ya punk?

Except for one band, I always seemed to attract garage band twits. Sigh... Tim Smith I know what you're thinking punk, you're thinking did he spell check this document? here are some of mine. history: Nora, Hector and fieldfresh were bands I was in. I played lead in all of them. "smaller animals" used to be the name i used for solo projects (before I started using it for my software company). they're all 64Kbps, to save space :) i'll leave these up for a week or so. -c
To explain Donald Knuth's relevance to computing is like explaining Paul's relevance to the Catholic Church. He isn't God, he isn't the Son of God, but he was sent by God to explain God to the masses.

Well, up until about six months ago, I was the bass player in a band but I decided to leave. They have since progressed a bit further and are on the verge of getting signed. Anyway, the web site is http://www.doorone.co.uk but it's still being written. Please check out the music here. Some highlights:- The Kids Know Chasing Amy And for something really rockin (and it's about comics) Radiation Superhero

I write in a few different styles, here's a quick & dirty little rock thing I did recently. Took 10 minutes to write, not much longer to record & mix. But then, rock & roll is a simple thing. :) Victoria Chistopher Duncan Author - The Career Programmer: Guerilla Tactics for an Imperfect World (Apress)

yeah. the guy who wrote that is a great songwriter (he's also the singer and 2nd guitar on that one - plus he recorded it). -c

Not really which tells me that it was the right decision. The thing is that the band was started by me and my best mate who is the singer. The rest of the band are all guys that I went to college with and who I see very regularly so the only thing that's different is that I'm not on stage with them but they keep saying that if they get signed they'll get me to play keyboards live for them. The reason I left the band is that I've moved 100 miles away from the rest of them and so practising was impossible because of me. I basically left the band so that they could progress with it. And the guy who took over from me is one of my close mates too. So it's all good ;)
