Is Latex still being used for writing documents/books? Or has everybody changed to Word?

I would use Latex, if I didnt forget how to use it. Unfortunately the learning curve is a bit high for me. I use Sandcastle's Conceptual help now.

I still use Latex from time to time. Lean more towards Word, these days....

I still use latex. It's a comfortable fit for my style, and really gets those creative juices flowing. ...wait, documents? Er...

90% of my thesis writing time was spent playing with LaTeX, the other 10% actual writing. That was so much fun... :)

                cheers, Chris Maunder

I wrote my thesis in latex. I wouldn't wanted to have tackled that in Word at all.

I must admit the post title didn't bring document processing to my mind either... :-O

I've never even seen LaTex, but years of neglect have made Word something of an intimidating bully to be.  I'm tempted to do all my documentation in HTML now.  The possibilities for numbered lists, if somewhat manual, are so attractive compared to Word.
