Wonder why it was filmed in near-darkness?

Why is it that we never consider that the majority of Arabs want nothing more than to be free and happy. It's what everyone wants.

Sadly, its because people get so frustrated from what they see these days on the media that they see red and can't see past that.

Your right the only thing the media shows is negative, if they started showing positive media on the lives of true ordinary Arabs then American people could see how similar their wants and desires are. Then acceptance and maybe even some love could occur, they would see that they have nothing to fear of these people. We have tons of crazy groups, religions, and organizations in America. It doesn't mean that is what I am or what my country stands for. Yet the media gets aways with painting these ugly images on Arabs on a continuous basis. We can't blame the media 100%, we need to put some of the blame on people who sit in their living rooms, and watch this crap and believe it unquestionably. I'm not bashing Americans. I'm bashing dense people that believe with out a doubt everything they see and hear on radio or TV. I once heard a cop say, "I don't believe anything I hear, and only half of what I see." I thought it was skepticism at its max. But after nearly 50 years of living on this planet, its one of the truest statements I've ever heard and grows in truth as each year goes by.

Words of wisdom for this day and age. Steve, I salute you. My mother is a Canadian and before I (with my family) moved back to the Middle East, I lived in Edmonton, Alberta for 17 years. I'm the product of both environments and I know just how much of an overlap exists. One of the most beautiful things I've ever heard was in a theology lecture by a Catholic priest from the Philippines, seriously one of the most enlightened men I've ever had the privilege of meeting. Once he realized that there were several attendees who weren't Catholic, he asked that for the next three weeks (he was giving us a lecture at the university) an attendee of a different religion will lead in prayer at the start or end of each class. His point, there's only one God and that we should all concentrate on the similarities and bask in its glory as opposed to listing the differences and arguing them with closed mindedness. I'll never forget Father Arthur. I wish more people would actually take the approach of peace rather the alternative.

Mustafa, Yes.. Now we are getting to the root of issue: What most people fail to realize, peace, joy and well-being can only be found inside us. They exist within us now. We tend to look to the outside world to satisfy our needs and longings. Our outer life reflects back to us the way we think, feel and behave. The outer world is all effects. We must look at the source inside for all of life’s treasures. "Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude." -- Denis Waitley "You wander from room to room Hunting for the diamond necklace That is already around your neck!" -- Jalal-Uddin Rumi
