    I don't so much have a hangover today, as I'm feeling the longer term after effects of eating too little and drinking to much. What do you guys recommend I eat today and tomorrow to try and restore all my balances etc?

    plenty of water or juice and a stack of fruit and vegetables is normally my post weekend detox if one is needed. I play squash at lunchtime on Mondays aswell but it's not something Id recommend if it's not a game you normally play.

      Yeah, you don't want to get into recursive drinking.

      GoDrinking()
      {
        GetDrunk();
        GetHungOver();
      }

      GetHungOver()
      {
        GoDrinking();
      }

      You'll eventually get a stack overflow exception.

      In Scheme and other tail recursive languages, that will just carry on forever! :)

      xacc.ide - now with TabsToSpaces support
      IronScheme - 1.0 alpha 3 out now

          Bacon and Egg rolls and lots of other fried fatty foods to absorb the crap and replce the goodness stripped out of you by the alcohol.

            I walked past the Wimpy when buying lunch and was nearly drawn in, by the thought of a cheese griller breakfast.

              1)If you able to eat something in the morning, get the chicken noudle soup. If not, don't eat anything during the day just drink the buttermilk or kefir. Later p. 1). I guarantee you will be good thereafter. ;)

                Well, I had chicken ramen noodles, salad, two cold meat sandwiches, and now some smoked mackerel. I didn't really have a hangover today, but all sorts of food cravings, obviously caused by not eating enough on the weekend.

                  Some noodles, some fruit. Pasta for the carbohydrates and some oranges for the vitamins.

                  This has helped me clean up and feel better - not for the whole 7 days or anything, but the soup for 2-3 meals for 2+ days: http://www.118diet.co.uk/diet-tips/sacred-heart-soup-diet.html[^] Good luck! :cool:

                    The voice of authority!:) You are completely correct if my years of hard drinking are anything to go by. I vaguely recall some sort of scientific study recently that backed that up.

                      It sure is, though the really bad days after are definitely fewer and farther between.

                      I know we are correct.

                      Vaguely just won't do. I believe we need to perform our own scientific study. We need to organise a couple of months off work, get Code Project to fund the exercise, get a few of the pseudo-scientists that frequent these forums to collate the data and have about half a dozen of the world's largest brewers/distillers come to the party with free alcohol.
