No idea, and I dare not try it out on my new laptop that has a slot loading drive ;P (EDIT) After a quick google, apparently the variety that the MacBook Pro has (which is what my laptop is) will not accept them. No idea about others.

I've read that if you lubricate the drive with DXM first, there's a good chance the drive accepting the small disks. YMMV. :)

Don;t know about now, but I almost killed one by doing that a while back. Luckily the eject worked well enough that I could use a pair of long nose pliers and brute firce to get the baby cd out. Iain.

Nope. THe older ones were factory fixes if you tried. Newer ones won't let you insert it, but the makers lost so much that only a handful of models are still on the market mostly in macs or ultrathin laptops.
