It's a crappy feature and must be disabled right now.

Somehow I dont think Chris wrote this one... http://www.codeproject.com/KB/grid/J.aspx[^] but his name on the article might have pushed it through the moderation.. How is it possible for dodgy article authors to put legitimate members on their author list? Is there some bug in codeproject?

Deleting his account won't help. The problem has to be fixed where it roots from. Adding someone as a co-author without their approval must be disabled. It's not at all intuitive.

Agree with that, but by deleting his account he won't be Gold Status anymore and then he cannot post articles without them going through the new moderation mechanism.

Sounds promising. But unfortunately, he's not just the one. There are plenty of scum 'authors', unfortunately most of them from India. You can't keep deleting accounts. CP MUST right freakin' now disable the feature which allows one to add a co-author of his choice. Getting this system up and working in place would do three good things: 1. Maintain the overall quality of the site. 2. Only genuine contributors will be visible on the stage. 3. And because of #2, my country that had been cursed, will earn a good reputation. :)

How'd he become Gold with just 1 year 1 month, 1 message and 1 article? Whoever approved the article must've been nuts. I dont know if the same guy had approved his own article. If so, it's a flaw in the system. Only peers should be able to approve articles, self approval must be disallowed.

5! Now, I'd accuse Chris of writing an article like that and adding an Indian co-author without his permission.

1 article => bronze 1 message = beginning of the first 500 messages => adds one level => silver 1 year membership => adds one level => gold It's correct, this user just demonstrates that it is way too easy to get gold with the current rules.

Indeed: note the 3 (at time of posting) articles requiring approval. They are simply shells with, probably, some rather flaky code attached. Strangely, they all appear to be from near or in a certain sub-continent. Is there a connection?

It's the new kind of denial of service attack targeted at CodeProject. Sadly all forums and article postings are flooded with this kind of sh*t. Maybe some of the regular members with established reputation should be promoted to moderators so that thay can delete content!

1 article => bronze 1 message = beginning of the first 500 messages => adds one level => silver 1 year membership => adds one level => gold It's correct, this user just demonstrates that it is way too easy to get gold with the current rules.

Yep, that's the main problem I see with the article queue right now. I also like Christians suggestion of "3 required for allow, 6 required for decline" Something like "Only platinum, but peterchen, too" would work for me

We are a big screwed up dysfunctional psychotic happy family - some more screwed up, others more happy, but everybody's psychotic joint venture definition of CP
