After tax that's $600k. If you want to avoid burning the principle and maintaining an inflation indexed constant level of income you're looking at being able to spend ~$30k/year (10% stocks - 5% inflation). That's not a large sum of income in trade for doing something that'd taint you sufficiently be unable to get another good IT job. :doh: :doh:
