John wasn't talking about the gender confused persona referred to as julia4u (and that references itself as Dan, check it out on his/her/its blog) he was talking about Adam Smith/VectorX

Who keeps moving this crap to the SoapBox? This stuff isn't offensive or controversial, it's just plain dumb. Stop dumping the lounge trash here.

Heh, most Loungers think of the SB as a place to post about religion, sex, and politics, IOW, trash. You must be a rare SB-only CPian to think of the Lounge as 'trash'. :-\

Yes, I've seen what goes on in the Lounge - silly stuff like this. For that reason I only haunt the SoapBox! :-D

You remember last year when the Soapbox looked a mess when almost everyone of Illion's posts were marked as abuse, almost before a minute had past from his posting ? I can just see that happening again to Julia4u's postings (she/he/it has made another in the Lounge a few mins ago). Can't imagine Maunder putting up with that in the Lounge.

I'm thinking that Chris isn't doing this, it's Adam Smith acting as a loose cannon - with two, almost identically irritating threads, both started by the same person divided between the lounge and SB.

Possibly. Adam should really ease up and let the forums self-moderate for the most part.

Usually true, but in this case there was a strong demand that all of Dan's "julia4u" posts be moved so that the lounge-livers could properly express their feeling about his number of known parents, probably destination upon demis,e and the closeness of his relationship with his mother. Adam seems to have compromised by moving one post but not both. Nothing like consistency of rules enforcement to make everyone feel like they know what's going on, eh?

Yeah tough guy, give him your house address. Where do you morons come from and why does Chris hire you? How old are you anyways, a preschooler? CodeProject "staff" threatening the users. I think I need to write Chris a little note. Now I've seen everything.

Sonny, the last time I waged war, I did it with a 50 cal machine gun. Your pissant threats don't really scare me, but I suggest you ask Chris how much he likes having members physically threatened by staff. On second thought, don't bother. I'm sure you're going to find out. First staffer to have to move his own thread. First staffer to see his thread started automatically deleted. First staffer to use two identities. First staffer to threaten bodily harm to a member. You're really racking up a high score, cowboy!

There ya go. I think we ought to use the National Guard to force farmers to grow food crops in Iowa again! The price of filet mignon is much too high

I used to think ethanol was a good thing. The only thing I like about it now is that it is cheaper than regular gas. We have lots of plants for processing going up, but I've now seen the effects of using all the corn for gas. The farmers will get paid regardless; it's just they are getting paid more now because of the subsidies.

About the only good thing I can find about it is that it doesn't come from the middle east. I wish we had a source-neutral system of subsidies that simply rewarded companies for producing more (relatively clean) energy inside the US. Wind? Great! Oil Shale? Great! Nuclear? Great! (except in my back yard, of course ;)
