    I've now reached 4000 messages on CodeProject. It's only taken me five years! We've gone from around 350,000 members to over 5 million in that time. I hope my contributions have been useful even if they are a little sparse compared to some people here! I'll have to see if I can secure an MVP award again next year.

    A landmark reached indeed. I hope you feel a warm glow of satisfaction for an appropriate period of time. :) My message rate is somewhat higher after 10 months on the site but I expect it'll slow way down before I get near 4000 messages. No MVP for me unless and until I post something valuable at least I hope not. Every time I get close to putting up another article the wind seems to change and I find my dev time going on something different. I suppose it will come together eventually.

          Congratulations! Upon reaching 4000 messages, you've gained: 1000gp and +10 Man points. You are standing in an open field west of the Code Project office complex, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here. \>

            Congrats on the 4000. So, only another year or so to 5000?

              Well if you're like me I hit 4,000 messages a year ago and only increased it by 300 since then... Spending more time drinking now, being a student and all...

                  Reminds me of the old Computer Innovations C compiler for DOS. Among the standard library functions was: void Zork();

                      I keep reading that as 4000 factorial, or 1.8288x1012673

                      Drawing on my fine command of language, I said nothing.
