I couldn't help but notice that everyone of this person's comments are almost exactly the same http://www.codeproject.com/script/Forums/LatestComments.aspx?fmid=5128820[^] so I clicked on a link to see what they where about. Someone should tell them what POS[^] really means :D

Yeah, point of sale was not my first thought... It's obviously meaningless posts to propogate advertising, have you reported it ?

I've always worked on the premise that nobody minds if you have links in your forum signature, as long as you don't go (a) over the top and (b) actually contribute something to the ongoing topic at hand. On my blog I always delete comments that just say 'hey thanks, really useful - visit my 15 links here'. This person definitely falls into that category of (a) too many links, and (b) not actually contributing anything.

Some lines of signature basically leading to you blogs or some personal pages are different. This guy is doing nothing as you mentioned and just putting few words in all his comments and giving tons of link for advertisement. This should not be acceptable in any way.

Everyone knows what POS means: Packet-over-Sonet. A very useful point-to-point protocol used on Sonet links on WAN links. I agree he probably is confused about the meaning. ;P -- Ian

No, he's just confused. Err, I take it back, he's not confused, he's an idiot.
