Normally I post these on Friday but I thought I would be proactive. Plus there is nothing on tv. Friday: Fire Day! No specifications if you are supposed to start one, put one out, make out with a hot fire fighter... For years I suffered from pyrophobia. In college I had to be on an aisle seat in large rooms so I could 'escape' if a fire broke out. When I would start my car, I kept the door open with one foot on the ground in case I had to run away from a firey car. For a long time I did not know why I had this weird fear. Turns out when I was a toddler both my parents smoked and after my dad started to heat the car lighter, I took it to my lips in emulation of them. Where most kids have that 'that hurts! Stop!' brain function, I didn't and burnt most of my lips off. I wonder what holiday I can link to that 6 inch nail I had removed from my skull (no joke). Saturday: Lumpy Rug Day! If you own cats, you avoid lumpy rugs. You are not sure if there is a cat underneath it, or some dead animal the cat caught. Sunday: National Candied Orange Peel Day! WTF? I have never heard of this and it's a National holiday??? Can someone fill me in? Monday: National Hoagie Day! This one I can relate. But now I am wondering, what is the difference between a hoagie and a sub? May have to research that one. Tuesday: Beverage Day! No specifications so I am guessing everyone will enjoy this holiday. I enjoy it every day. Especially if it has alcohol. Wednesday: National Roast Leg of Lamb Day! Yummy, yummy, yummy. Lamb seems to be one of those things that Americans love or hate. My mother in law said she hated it, but when we cooked it, she really liked it. So if you think you hate it, here's a great excuse to try again. Thursday: No Socks Day! and Have a Coke Day! It used to be just called Coke Day but that lead to riots. As for no socks, I have said this before, if you wear open toes shoes and no socks, make sure your feet are up to par. I do not want to see the fungus in your toenails, your hammer toe, or you trying to squeeze your foot fat into that 'stylish' shoe. I don't know about the rest of the US, but when did flip-flops become standard attire for the majority of the year? I've seen people wear winter coats with flip-flops. There are your holidays for the week.

        Robo day is fast approaching.

The Digital World. It is an amazing place in which we primitive humans interact. Our flesh made this synthetic machine. You see, we are so smart, we know a lot of stuff. We were grown from cells that came from the universe, which the matter and physics I'm typing in it is amazing how the universe is working. Human life is very amazing. How I experience this sh*t its like wow.

Try flying back from Australia. You can end up landing before the time you left.

No kidding. South Dakota is bad enough but Sioux City, Iowa hair salons apparently just got ahold of a 1998 Hackensack, NJ Yearbook.

Try flying back from Australia. You can end up landing before the time you left.

If you do it right you can delete a whole day from your life. My brother had one of his birthdays 'erased' by leaving the USA on the day before and arriving in Australia on the day after. So if you've got an important deadline, just arrange to fly from the USA to Australia, and when you land say 'sorry, couldn't meet the deadline - that day did not officialy exist in my life' :)

I did not know about Law Day; I knew about Prayer day but did not want to make my post SB material.

There are your holidays for the week.

coming up to the end of a throughly cr*ptastic day (no, week), this made me smile - for some bizarre reason, it was 'Friday' too that did it .. (from one who stuck a garden fork through his foot when he was a kid) thanks for a smile :-) 'g'
