To clarify (without flaming), I am on amphetamines that are prescribed by a board certified doctor for my narcolepsy. They are not black market, illegal, nor am I addicted in any way. However, I do feel that after upper CP members posted their feelings on flamings in the Lounge, your response perpetuates the problem.

Sure. :rolleyes: I tried Adderal once, extremely addicting. There is no way one can take daily doses of amphetimines and not become addicted.

I remind you that you are not a doctor nor are you a narcoleptic. I do not get the normal response to amphetimines that a normal person would. Nor do I like living with the side effects. Normal people abusing this drug feel a 'high.' I feel nothing of the sort. It makes me feel more alert, like I had a normal sleep cycle (which narcoleptics do not). Without the drug, I could fall asleep at any moment, including when I'm driving which puts others at risk. On the weekends when I do not "have" to drive (for work) I often skip my medication so I do not have to suffer the side effects. Yes, I sleep much of the weekend, but by Monday I feel better. It is not an addiction for me; it is a necessity to live a normal life. If a non-depressed person took an anti-depressent they would feel a different effect than a depressed person. Everyone's brain is different.

I have to disagree with you on that. Most people's perceptions on mind altering pharmaceuticals is that they are prescribed something that balances out symptoms of their illness that makes them feel 'normal'. It does not work that way. I most certainly disagree with you on your denial of addiction. Also anyone who regularly takes amphetimines and quits even for a day or two, the person will sleep like a log, and eat like a hoarse. When I tried adderall I did not feel high, I was more alert and felt like doing something. Its basically like feeling normal x5.

The only reason off leckey getting 5's is that she is a gold member. second if it come to me i don't care about the ranking so i don't care about the number of posts and even i was intrested in getting higher ranks i would wrote articles not posting here in the lounge. for me i only care for the emails i receive from CP and the information they contain. that is the soul purpose for me of joining CP. At the end if you looked at my posts at the begining couple of weeks ago you would see that i was having real serious questions but some CP members like leckey for example turned my posts into another subject.
