I may be getting a book so I can learn networking this[^] looks like a good book, are there any other recommendations?

We need a Waldorf version of teaching technology. Let's see. First off, no book. That's sort of a problem, but moving along: Draw (using expensive colored pencils from Germany) a diagram of how the hardware in a computer works. Draw one of the famous icons of the technology age: Wozniak, Jobs, Gates, or Balmer. Write about (with caligraphy for the title and nice borders, sort of like the way books used to be illuminated) the history of computers. Write about how you feel about technology and ethics. Write about how you feel about patent laws for software. Optional: Discuss the spiritual changes happening to man as a result of technology. etc. :) Marc

This IBM TCP/IP tutorial[^] is the one I started with when I needed to get up to speed with the intricacies of TCP/IP. There's also a related networking tutorial[^].
