After that, she felt under more pressure and her behaviour just got worse.

I think you are 100% right. By the time the Clintons understood that the campaign for the nomination was not a triumphal coronation march, she was behind and falling further back every week. Too bad. My guess is that she would have made a better President than Obama. (I know you don't agree.)
