Anyone blown thier stimulus check?

I got mine last friday! I was headed to Chicago on a weekend vacation and did my best to stimulate the economy inside Wrigley Field! So I did my part...anyone else?
I'm using it to pay debt. And a lot of that debt is to the IRS, so they probably will just apply it directly. woot. Marc

Went in with my Dad and bought my Mom a motorcycle for Mother's Day. 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan 500
What size cheque did you get? :omg: Or, how much did the bike cost?

This wondrous economy has already spent that money for me.

I had to file separate so our entire return wouldn't go to pay IRS debt, only my portion. 2002 was a bad year and I'll be paying for a long long time... :sigh:

I made an extra $600 payment to my credit cards.

You could stimulate me.

Ok so from the looks of it hardly anything went back into the economy..lol..I thought that would be the outcome considering gas prices and other things that went up. *steps on soap box* My personal opinion, I don't see it getting any better in the next 4 years. I don't feel comfortable with any of the candidates for Pres. (again my opinion) I feel ones a racist, the other a fake and yet another one you can't trust for anything. *steps down*

Considering the amount of driving I normally have to do in a week, the only thing that's going to be stimulated is my gas tank. :((

Well I couldn't care less about the value of the dollar and my Missus of nearly 17 years seems to think I am a camel. So you choose which one I was referring too. Off to bed now, 01:15, up in less than 6 hours to coach the soccer team, son is sick and the wife reckons he can't play. He's not dead yet, I don't see the problem.

That's too bad! I got to buy a bunch of $7 beers from a ballpark vendor that probably makes more a yr than I do. My wife spent hers on a new watch and some clothes. We don't really buy things for ourselves all that often, so it was nice to have an excuse.

the US govt is sending checks to people whose income is in a certain range this month, ostensibly to "stimulate" the economy. you could also call it ridiculous election-year pandering... if you were cynical.
-
nope. it's based on salary, deductions, dependents, etc.. and to estimate your amount[^], you have to have your 2007 tax return in-hand.

Mine'll be blown on my next CC payment. I got two refurb NEC 2090uxi's for $570ish total. New (4 vs 1y warranty, extra cables in box) they're $800 each. Utterly gorgeous displays. No (vertical) color shifting, no (horizontal) gamma shift, no black crush. Just perfect color across the screen and the same true 178* viewing angles as a CRT. IPS rules!
