ow's this for stupid? I'm writing a winamp web playlist general purpose plugin for personal interest and possible release later down the road. Anyways, I get this problem where the .dll containing the plugin, consistently refuses to load  The SDK is still in VS 4. Tell me, is this pathetic or what? That coupled with the fact that there is virtually no troubleshooting section to speak of. Guess I'm relegated to going thru Winamp's guts with SoftIce for an explanation. You'd think that Nullsoft would make an effort to help people writing plugins. This STINKS.

you're lucky you can still run sice. I upgraded to xp pro a year ago and found out that the only version of it that can run on an NT system is the one that is coupled with driversuite. So I went and found that it's drivers won't work with my vid. card(geforce2mx)

I think that's a little unfair. The 'SDK' for Winamp 2.x is a bit short on documentation but there are some great support forums where you van get help. In fact, I can probably help you out if you want. James

In vact, stuff from "VS4" (VC++ 4.x?) should still work with VC++ 5 and 6.. it's only if you try to use the execrable VS7 that you'll have problems. I think.

Sure, the docs for the general purpose plugin sdk are rather sparse. But then its hardly a complex interface is it? This hasn't stopped other people from writing some pretty impressive plugins.
