Hey all I'm looking for free ASP.Net web hosting, can anyone suggest a good one. If it is with a database(SQL server, MS Access) it will be better As always thank you in advance

Why does everyone want everything for free ? I am interested tho, what's the business model for free web hosting, with SQL Server ?

have you tried geocities? or perhaps angel fire? i wish there were free asp.net hosting.... is there?

I don't need it for busines i need it for educational purposes. since I am a computer science senior
the institution you attend does not offer hosting? that seems odd. do you pay for this education?

there is. I was using one but it will be closd in two weeks, so i'm looking for a new one. so if you find one you can tell me. thanks for you help
I am sympathetic to your need ( being a student and wanting to find hosting ), but I imagine it's closing because it's hard to make a profit out of free hosting if you have to pay SQL Server licenses, etc.

There was, VWDHosting. They were offering free hosting for website testing [with MS-SQL database support], but they discontinued their services early this year :(

do you have your own computer that can run IIS? and also a DSL connection?

oh man. i have been missing out. well i get it free from my college but i still run that server so that helps.

I pay 12000 US dollars but here in lebanon don't have the kind of institutions like the ones in US or even Europe. :(

Im kind of just thinking out loud here, but it may help.... have you thought about just using a service like dyndns to put your pc with IIS on the net? then you can just host your own sites for testing if its just for testing like you stated, then the speed should be suitable, and if its hosting it fine on a lan then the stability should be good enough and your site should be able to read the Microsoft Access DB's without a problem
