Car repair shops suck

I nailed a curb rounding a corner too quickly about 3 weeks ago and tore up a tire. Took it in and told them to make sure they looked at my suspension before they aligned my tires because I was pretty sure I nailed osmething. Got the car back and htey claimed nothign was wrong with the suspension. Fast foward to present time. Two days ago I take a lookat my back tires and notice that they are both warn bald from apparent alignment problems. I take it back to the dealer ( thankfully kept my receipt ) and tell whats going on. They agree to look at my car and sure enough what's wrong with it? The suspension on both sides is severely warped from my curb incident. Their lack of effort cost me two nearly brand new tires. Jared jparsons@jparsons.org www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte477n

My clock in the Car broke a few weeks ago. The LCD did not show one bar. Anyways, I took it to the dealer to fix it. When I came back for the car in the evening, the receit said that they fixed the problem. I turned the car on and gues what? The clock was still broken. It turned out that they simply replaced the lcd screen while it was the mechanism that broke! That is pathetic! They don't even check their work!

I took my pickup in for an oil change once and when they were finished, I paid and drove off. Just as I was about to exit the dealership I noticed I had no oil pressure. Sure enough, they had forgot to replace the oil! "Human imagination has been sculpted by the universe within which it was born" Hmmmm...

I knew someone who had their oil changed and the mechanic forgot to put the new oil filter on! :omg: Luckily they noticed when they were backing the car out of the shop since there was a HUGE stream of oil on the pavement. Kelly Herald Software Developer Micronpc, LLC

The suspension on both sides is severely warped from my curb incident I came around a blind corner, in the wet, a few months ago. A Braai Met Weele (BMW) was just sitting in the middle of the road. I slammed on the brakes (no ABS in my Tazz unfortunatley) swerved past him, did a 180 and ended up going through a bus stop and a 6 foot tall, 2 foot deep cinder block wall. Janina and I were fine, but the front of my car was messed up (nothing too serious, Toyota build em well!) So I get it all fixed up, get my car back and take it home. Half way home I go around a corner and the whole car starts shuddering like a mad thing. I pull over right away and have a look around. Only one of the tyre nuts on the front left tyre were even on, and it was damned loose. The other three nuts were no where to be seen. Boy that was fun. So two months later I get some new tyres, and on the way home doing 120kph down the free way... same thing! Farrkkk, and this is on a free way. The wheel was inches from coming off. The damned tyre guys had stripped the nuts threads. So everytime I take my car in, I check all my wheels now :-D jparsons wrote: I nailed a curb rounding a corner too quickly about 3 weeks ago and tore up a tire Lucky you don't have mag wheels. My dad nailed a corner too, but it seemed to just scuff the mags. A month later the mag just started disintegrating. Seems as though the mag had a bunch of hairline fractures from the kerb job. Always get your mags fully checked after a kerb job. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and to be loved in return - Moulin Rouge Alison Pentland wrote: I now have an image of you in front of the mirror in the morning, wearing your knickers, socks and shoes trying to decided if they match!
