Anyone know of a physical security type of device I could plug into a USB port? Or an ethernet port? Or a SD card slot? I don't want a software solution, our device is going in front of some technoneanderthals and a physical security device would be the only way it would be accepted. Thanks!

Have you seen that USB missile launcher?

Search for 'Kensington lock'. This cables the PC to the desk which is pretty physical.

That's not really what I was looking for - I need the actual ports locked (like if you were to fill them with something and then later that could be removed). The whole device doesn't need to be locked down - in fact, it is a portable device that cannot be locked down when in use. I just need the ports themselves to be physically removed from user access (but still available for us when we want them).

How about some fancy custom sticky tape, like they use for evidence bags? If someone cut the tape, they'll have some xplaining to do.

Could you just disable usb in device manager. As long as people using the machine don't have admin access, problem solved. :)
